Melanie Savary, RVT
Melanie has been part of the Mission Valley Pet Clinic family since 1998.
She is a native San Diegan. She graduated from UCSD with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Physiology and Neuroscience. Melanie has been the Head Registered Veterinary Technician for many years. Her dedication, compassion for her patients and her friendly, cheerful attitude are appreciated by everyone around her!
Melanie discovered her love of animals at a young age and brought home every stray animal she could find. She has three cats Jasper, Ruca, and Pinot, two leopard geckos and one three-toed box turtle.
Melanie enjoys working at MVPC where she can put her love for animals to good use.
In her free time, Melanie enjoys hiking, traveling, making jewelry and spending time at the beach.

Diana Dominguez, RVT
Diana began working at MVPC in 2005. She worked as a receptionist until May 2008, when she graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at Mesa College. After taking her boards, Diana began working full time as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT). She is currently taking classes towards her B.S. degree as well.
Diana's friendly disposition and compassionate care of her patients has made her a great asset to MVPC. She is also bilingual which can be very helpful to our Spanish speaking clients. Diana loves working with animals and enjoys educating owners on the best care for their pets. She likes the small size of MVPC because she likes the more personalized care for our clients. She enjoys interacting with her co-workers.
Diana has two terrier mixes, Rodney and Raven and Kreacher her rex rabbit. In her free time, Diana enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to concerts, and drawing. |

Sarah Moore
Sarah joined Mission Valley Pet Clinic in January 2003. She left in 2006 to live in Australia and rejoined the hospital in 2008. She is currently working towards a Bachelor of Arts focused on creative writing. Her sunny disposition is appreciated by clients and co-workers.
Sarah is a San Diego native who graduated from Patrick Henry High School in 2002.
She has a 12 year old black and white shorthair cat, Juliette, 9 year old (going on 6 month old) chocolate Labrador, Mochey, and the newest addition to her family, Auggi, a 10 year old black lab (also adopted from MVPC).
Sarah enjoys interacting with clients and their pets. She loves her co-workers and the clinic’s great atmosphere. Sarah has a passion for travel, loves the ocean, writing, spending time with her family (pets included!) and close friends, running and loves to cook/bake. |

Thom Lindgren
Thom became part of the Mission Valley Pet Clinic Family in 2005. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, moved to Arkansas and attended the University of Arkansas for two years. He made the transition to the United States Navy, got an A.A. degree from City Colleges of Chicago, and retired after 20 years as a Petty Officer First Class Photographers Mate.
After retiring from the Navy, Thom tried his hand at various computer related jobs but eventually realized that his true ambition had to have something to do with animals. He worked at an upscale dog day play facility while completing a Regional Occupational Program (ROP) for Veterinary Receptionist.
Thom has one pet, a 7-year old black domestic short hair feline named Kattle but if you were to ask her, she would tell you she has a pet named Thom. His hobbies include: anything to do with Harry Potter, gardening, photography, reading science fiction, travel, watching everything on HGTV and Planet Green, and trying to be green.
Thom is very happy to be an asset to the OUTSTANDING Doctors and staff at Mission Valley Pet Clinic. |

Lisa Tapia
Lisa is our newest receptionist, having joined MVPC in June 2011. Before joining MVPC, Lisa lived in the Bay area. While there she spent many hours volunteering her time. She has volunteered at Fresno Children’s Hospital, Fresno Community Food Bank, and Visalia Rescue Mission as a holiday volunteer.
Lisa enjoys interacting with clients and the friendly and enthusiastic atmosphere at MVPC. Her caring attitude is very much appreciated by our clients and the staff of MVPC.
Lisa is a full time student at the University of San Diego. She is working towards her B.S. degree in Biology. Lisa’s goal is to become a medical doctor.
Lisa has a puppy named Gavin who has already made it onto t-shirts like the one being modeled by Honey. Lisa also has a 10-month-old cat named Milo.
In her free time, Lisa enjoys running marathons, playing guitar, reading, studying, painting, playing chess, scrabble, snowboarding, the beach, hiking, mountain climbing, playing on her Mac, and volunteering. These are just a few of Lisa’s hobbies!

Honey Vo
Honey joined MVPC in June 2011 after graduating from the University of California, Irvine. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences. While in school, Honey volunteered at the Orange County Zoo and was a research assistant at the Burley Lab, studying zebra finches and budgies. She also studied physics abroad at the University o Sussex in England for a summer.
Honey has a dual position as receptionist and kennel technician. Our boarders love playing with Honey and her gentle manner. Clients and staff appreciate her professional and caring attitude.
Honey enjoys learning everything she can while working at MVPC. She loves helping to enhance the health and well being of the animals and especially loves extra playtime with the boarders. Honey will be applying to veterinary school for the fall of 2012.
Honey’s favorite hobby is dressing up her Shih Tzu named Lychee, who has photo shoots every weekend. Watch out for her on “Extra”.
Honey is also fluent in Vietnamese. We now have 4 languages spoken at MVPC!

Mila Samoylova
Mila joined MVPC in June 2011. Mila has a dual position as receptionist and kennel technician. She enjoys working with animals, interacting with people, and taking care of our boarders. Both clients and staff appreciate her friendly and professional manner.
Mila was born in Moscow. When she was 10 years old her family moved to San Francisco. While in high school, she studied piano and violin along with her academics. She attended the University of California at Davis for two years before joining MVPC in June 2011. She is on leave from school this year in order to gain experience in the field of veterinary medicine. She will be returning to UC Davis next year. Her goal is to become a veterinarian.
Mila loves nature and animals. When she is not working or studying, Mila enjoys hiking, exploring new places, playing badminton, painting and curling up on a couch reading.
Mila is also fluent in Russian and enjoys conversing with our Russian clients.

Kathy Meagher, RVT
Kathy Meagher has worked with Dr. Green for many years and came with her to Mission Valley Pet Clinic in 2002.
She was born in Ohio and graduated from Green Mountain College. She then studied at UC Berkeley before obtaining her teaching credential from SDSU. In 1982 she received her Registered Veterinary Technician License from Mesa College.
In addition to helping care for the animals, Kathy functions as the office manager of MVPC. She has four cats: Tay, Yoda, Simba and Brae, and one dog, a coonhound mix, named McCoy. She also volunteers at the humane society.
In her free time she enjoys jogging, yoga, tai chi, kayaking, traveling and visiting her children and grandchildren. |

Carla McMillan
Carla is a kennel technician who joined MVPC in May 2010. She is a native San Diegan who grew up in Spring Valley. Carla is currently enrolled in the Animal Health Technician (AHT) program at Mesa College.
Carla has spent many hours volunteering at Project Wildlife and at a Petsmart cattery in Palm Desert.
Carla enjoys working with animals and taking care of our guests. She is caring and gentle with our boarders, which is evident by the way she is greeted when they see her. Carla's big smile is appreciated by her co-workers and clients alike.
She has a 4 year old Jack Russell/Dachshund mix named Romo (after Tony Romo).
In her spare time, Carla enjoys reading classics and thrillers. She also loves to run.
